Bookvue

Terms of use

Effective 1 October 2026

These terms apply to Bookvue on the web and in the Bookvue apps for iPhone and Android. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them. If you use Bookvue for a business, you confirm you may bind that business to these terms.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and give true details when you register.
  • Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • Owners and admins decide who joins their business and what role each person has.

Your records

The records your business keeps in Bookvue belong to your business. We use them only to provide the service, as the privacy policy describes. Bookvue calculates figures such as VAT and balances from what you enter; you remain responsible for your tax returns and for checking your books with your accountant.

Acceptable use

Do not use Bookvue for anything unlawful, try to reach another business's records, interfere with the service, or resell it without our written agreement.

Availability

We work to keep Bookvue available and your records safe, but the service is provided as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

The apps

The iPhone app is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these terms add to it. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. The Android app is distributed through Google Play under Google's terms.

Ending

You can stop using Bookvue and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. Questions go to privacy@bookvue.co.za.
